It is true what some of these professionals are saying that you can’t always count, literally, the pounds on the scale. It will drive you nuts. I have been looking at the scale every morning and I’ve gotten to the point of yelling at it saying, “YOU LIE!!!!!” Not that I’m gaining weight, but it looks like I’m not losing anything. I just have to keep it in perspective. So here are the numbers in perspective:
- December 2010: 306 pounds (my heaviest)
- August 2011: 255 pounds (started with the South Beach Diet)
- 2011-2017: bounced around between 260 and 280
- December 1, 2017: 259 pounds (Day 1 of Keto in the Ruff)
- December 8, 2017: 246 pounds (minus 13 pounds in one week, but I also got a cold)
- December 15, 2017: 239 pounds (minus another 7 pounds, but again I was sick)
- January 1, 2018: Back up at 248 pounds, but I’m in Ketosis
- January 12, 2018: Pounds are staying the same, but I started yoga – time to start logging the measurements – waist: 54 inches, hips: 57 inches
At this point, I really wish I took my measurements on December 1st. I can only make an educated guess. I had ordered this cute bust corset that I was going to wear for Halloween. It actually ended up being too small, but my approximate measurements at that point (October 2017) would be about 57 inches at my waist and 61 inches at my hips. That means I’ve lost approximately 3 inches off my waist and 4 inches off my hips.
TOTAL weight lost: 306-248 = 58 pounds
Weight lost as Keto in the Ruff: 259-248 = 11 pounds
Waist: 57-54 = 3 inches
Hips: 61-57 = 4 inches
